python-telepathy software package provides Python language bindings for telepathy, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-telepathy

python-telepathy is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-telepathy package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-telepathy *

You will get with python-telepathy package name, version, architecture and description in a table
